An Ai App Store
If you’re familiar with the open-source side of Ai, you’re familiar with Hugging Face. It’s a platform where people share models and tools to the community. They recently launched Spaces, an “AI App Directory”.
Be warned, it’s a rabbit hole, but if you’re up for it, this is where all the leading Ai efforts are happening.

Adobe Firefly Video Is Here
We recently talked about our early access testing with Adobe Concept. Well Adobe just announced their latest commercially safe offering, Firefly Video.

3D & CONTROL OR LACK THEREOF
I posted this over on Linkedin this week. It’s a quick example showing three attempts at an image-to-3D generation in Vizcom. You can see that each generation is very different.
This highlights three important things for me:
A one-image input leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
GenAi is still full of “randomness”.
Knowing how to give Ai clues in your inputs continues to be the name of the game.

Image-to-3D Tool Shootout
As we’ve talked about before, this year is going to see a lot of progress in the Ai 3D front. 10k foot view we’re seeing the following:
You have 3D functionality being included in multi-purpose generative Ai tools like Krea and Vizcom.
You have tools focused on 3D like Meshy, Tripo3D and Trellis.
And we’re starting to have integration into legacy 3D tools, like the Rhino M8 plug-in.
We’ve been putting time into as many as we can and recently put three of these options up agains each other to see how they compare:
Vizcom’s image-to-3D
Krea’s image-to-3D
Rhino M8 in both text and image-to-3D
