Are We Getting More Control with Ai? - AIxC: 68
Train, Palettes & Moodboards
Ai world moves fast. We try to keep up with testing as many tools and workflows as we can, but it’s even too much for us. New features by Midjourney, Vizcom, Krea and others keep us on our toes. New tools by OpenAi and Google build up our test queue.
With that in mind, we’re continuing to grow to keep up with demand. Keep an eye out for some new positions we’ll be looking to fill in the coming weeks.
On to today’s newsletter, we’re going to talk about control.
01 / TOOLS
Krea Train, Vizcom Palettes & Midjourney Moodboards
Train. Palettes. Moodboards.
These are the names of Krea, Vizcom and Midjourney’s custom training features. Different names but they are all accomplishing the same thing - giving us more control to document our ideas.
Each of these tools now has a way to train the tool with your personalized styles. You can train them on color, design language, subject matter, finishes - it's your choice.
What does this mean?
Opportunities for Ai integration further downstream in our process.
We can leverage our ability to create high quality inputs.
More control.
We’re currently testing all of these and will come back with a comparison once we've put all of them through a good trial.
In the meantime, we definitely encourage you to start testing these features out.
02 / WORKFLOWS
Krea Train to Vizcom Workflow
How we design is changing right in front of our eyes.
Training your Ai tools is going to bring a lot more control to your generations.
In this video I did a krea training on scrambler-type ebikes. Then went into their flux tool to see how it influenced generations.
Here is an example of the same prompt with and without the training code, with each prompt referencing “scrambler ebikes”:

On the left is the result without the training model. On the right is the result with the same prompt, but with the training model being referenced. I trained the model on cafe racer type scrambler bikes, so you can clearly see that guidance comign through.
Again, training models for your specific needs is going to be a powerful tool in the arsenal.
All of these models you train are ones you can share with your team. The better and more thoughtful the inputs, the better the results. This will be a competitive advantage.

Fractional Ai Support
Last week we finally updated our website. It now better represents what we can help design teams with - fractional Ai support.
I recently brought in a fractional operations person here. It’s been game changing. In an agreed upon hours per month, they mentioned they could turn our team of ai/design pirates into an efficient navy.
I renewed their initial agreement immediately because the results spoke for themselves. Their efforts are taking care of ops so that we can focus on what we do best - design and ai.
When it was time to launch our offerings, I thought of it the same way.
I want to make sure that we can support our clients on an ongoing basis, allowing them focus on their day-to-day progress, while we help them figure out Ai adoption, ensuring they are ready for the Ai wave.
If you want to chat about our services, happy to do so. We recently completed a case study that showcases what is possible when you marry domain expertise with Ai. It’s a great example of our R&D capabilities. Happy to walk you through it over a zoom call. Just head over to our website and fill out one of the forms on this page!
Looking forward to chat about your Ai plans for 2025.
Happy holidays,
Hector and the AIxC team

Love the newsletter! I’m curious how you are connecting the form of the scrambler bike to the functional, structural needs of the frame? Is this a sketch, and if so, how would you take it further? Thanks!!🙏
