Introducing the AIxC Pro Newsletter & an SREF Guide - AIxC: 70
+ 3 SREF Codes, Visual Electric and Presenting with Runway
70 newsletters ago, this weekly email started out as a way to capture what I was learning about Ai for design and creativity.
Since then the newsletter has grown to 4000+ subscribers and a team focused full time on how Ai is going to shape our creative work.
Starting today we’re launching our AIxC Pro newsletter.
Each week we’ll provide one tangible Ai asset that will keep you a step ahead. We’ll do the Ai R&D work so you can focus on your design & creative work.
You’ll get assets such as Midjourney SREF codes, Midjourney Moodboard codes, Krea Training Codes, Reference Images, Workflow examples, Ai Tool Cheatsheets, Prompts, and more.
We’ll still have free Ai content every month and daily posts over on Linkedin, but you’ll get even more value here.
The cost will be just $20/mo. Effectively right about $5/week. We’ll be sure to make it easily worth the investment with member discounts and more as we go along.
Head to end of email to sign-up and access three SREF Code sheets this week, or just to check out the free SREF Guide sheet.
We look forward to continuing our mission of ensuring creatives stay ahead as Ai plays a larger role in our careers and we hope you come along with us.

01 / TOOLS
Have You Used Visual Electric?
Not long ago I discovered Visual Electric. It’s an image generation tool that’s different than a lot of other Ai tools in one important way - it was built for designers.
Their user interface is a step above many other tools out there and is a delight to use.
I’m still in the early phases of testing this tool out, but give it a spin of you have a chance. It highlights the importance of a great user experience.

Concept Presentations with Runway
Ai tools have come far in a short time frame. These advancements create new opportunities for how we present and/or consider concepts.
In this video, I took one of the eyewear concepts from Visual Electric, uploaded it to Runway and gave it a simple prompt:
”woman with yellow glasses turning her head and looking in different directions and smiling”
30 seconds later I had this video. It’s not perfect. She didn’t smile and she has a strand of hair coming out of her ear, but I also only gave it this one shot. Some more generations and I’m sure I’d get the look i’m after.
I can do this for 4 other eyewear concepts and see them brought to life.

Midjourney’s Latest Addition - Mixing of Codes

This week Midjourney announced a functionality that really increases its usefulness. The ability to combine SREF codes and multiple Moodboard codes.
This means you can get more granular with your codes. Think of it like ingredients for cooking up a recipe. You can add some form language, some color direction, lighting, etc.
In this example I mixed one of my custom Moodboard codes along with an SREF code to get the results I was after.
As the first of the AIxC Pro newsletters, here is a Midjourney SREF Code usage guide. For paid members, you’ll find three SREF codes below!
