Welcome to AIxC Newsletter #57! My name is Clare, and I’m jumping in with Hector today for my first newsletter. I’m an industrial designer and part of the team here. I’m glad to meet all of you!
There have been a million things happening these past few days. Mysterious rumors, new programs and workflows, AIxC updates. Let’s get into it:

Is The Midjourney Rumor True?
Within the Ai community, there are often rumors floating around. Some based on good info, others based on hopeful wishing. Here at AIxC, we have recently been having team discussions around whether or not the most recent Midjourney rumor is true or not.
We have been hearing that Midjourney will be releasing the capability to vary by region within your original images, not images generated in the model. This would be a game changer.
If we are able to utilize the benefits of generative Ai, alongside the benefits of our design efforts, the possibilities for workflow integration grow. You can:
Explore a button treatment on your product design
Explore surface junctions on your design concept
Add characters to your interior design concept
Put your packaging concept in different environments
Add design assets to your UI ideas
Stay tuned. We’re combing through forums and chatrooms as we speak.
02 / TOOLS
Relume for Web Design
A new superpower in the UX/UI space is the Relume plugin for Figma.
“The Relume Figma Plugin helps streamline the process from Site Builder to Figma by syncing existing variables if starting from the Relume Figma Kit or creating variables if importing into a Figma file that does not have these variables. It also will bring in any AI generated copy from Site Builder into Figma.”
We’re using Relume right now for an internal project (more on that below), and so far so good. In our case, it’s amazing to see that you can plug in a site URL and immediately get detailed sitemap and wireframes of the existing architecture. It seems that the plugin misplaces about 10-15% of the content, so it is worth a manual once over, but once you’re at this point, its an amazing tool for reimagining your site.
Our next step is to take the Relume wireframe over into Figma and build out the site prototype. This will then (somehow) transfer over to Shopify. We’ll keep you updated on how this process goes.
03 / TIPS
Effective Logo Design Workflow
Ai fueled logo design has started to improve recently; especially when it comes to a smooth workflow. Check out this workflow coined by our designer, Manuel.
Midjourney: Design of logos by combining the prompt, images as style reference or image prompt, and --personalize code
Flux through Krea's website: Design of logos using a prompt.
Vizcom: Import of a selected logo from Flux to be combined with a selected logo from Midjourney as a reference image or style, using the automatic description of the tool as the base of the prompt.
Krea: Iterations of the result obtained in step 3 using the Ai Strength level to achieve subtle changes, utilizing the automatic description previously obtained in Vizcom as the prompt.
The main advantage of this type of workflow is that we can quickly move through various tools to leverage the unique advantages of each, thus optimizing the process. In this way, although Midjourney has produced interesting styles, thanks to the use of images as inputs and the --personalize code, there were difficulties with the complete representation of the characters for the logo introduced via the prompt, something that Flux resolves very well. Thus, the logos from Midjourney and Flux can be combined with Vizcom, for example, and refine the final concept with Krea.
04 / SERVICES
Speaking of Logo Design, AIxC is
Under Construction!
We have been a little behind recently. And we swear there is a legitimate reason. After reading the above, you might be thinking, “Internal web design work? A new AIxC logo?” You may have even heard that AIxC is currently in the middle of a rebrand - well, it’s true.
We have been rethinking everything from our services and web design to logo and maybe even (uh-oh) company name!?
We’re staying true to our mission and employing as many Ai tools as hum(ai)nly possible in this process. What we’re finding, as expected, is that domain expertise continues to resign supreme. The quality of the final output is the responsibility of the designer, not the Ai tool.
As we go down this path of rebranding, fine-tuning our offering and re-doing our website, we will continue to share our findings along the way. The fact of the matter is that we are still thrilled beyond measure to be working in this space at precisely this time in history, and ultimately we want to shine up our shoes and step up our game, and we’re doing it by walking the walk. While there is still a lot of work to be done, we can’t wait for you all to see whats coming.
Thanks for sticking with me for my first newsletter. You’ll be hearing more of me here as we continue to build out this newsletter.
Until next time,
— Clare, Hector & the AIxC Team
